Le Hohneck
Rising to 1,363 m, the Hohneck is the third-highest summit in the Vosges and the highest point in Lorraine, with an immense panorama over the Vallée des Lacs.
Getting there
By car via the Route des Crêtes; footpaths from the Vallée des Lacs.
History
On the old frontier ridge line (1871-1918), it is served by the Route des Crêtes; a mountain refuge stands on the summit.
Culture & stories
On a clear day the view stretches as far as the Black Forest and the Alps; hiking, skiing and paragliding.
