Commercy
Commercy owes its fame to the madeleine, a small cake said to have been born at the court of Stanisław Leszczyński, who made the town one of his residences.

History
The Château Stanislas, a former ducal residence rebuilt in the 18th century, overlooks the town; today it houses public services and exhibitions.
