Palace of the Dukes of Lorraine — Musée Lorrain
Housed in the former palace of the Dukes of Lorraine, the Musée Lorrain traces the art, history and traditions of Lorraine from Antiquity to the 20th century.
Getting there
By train: Nancy station, about a twelve-minute walk into the Ville-Vieille.
History
The Ducal Palace, built in the 15th–16th centuries for Duke René II, boasts a magnificent Flamboyant gatehouse crowned by an equestrian statue of Antoine of Lorraine. It has housed the museum since 1848.
