Château de Malbrouck
Proudly set on the Slossberg hill, the Château de Malbrouck raises its four towers above Manderen, a stone's throw from Germany and Luxembourg.
Getting there
By car: Manderen-Ritzing, near the border (A30). On-site parking.
History
Built from 1419 to 1434, it owes its nickname to the Duke of Marlborough (“Malbrouck”), who set up his headquarters here in 1705. Restored in the 1990s, it hosts major exhibitions.
Culture & stories
Visitors can explore the wall walks, towers and inner courtyard; the summer programme (exhibitions, events) makes it a very lively site.
