Rodemack

Nicknamed “the little Carcassonne of Lorraine”, Rodemack is a medieval village enclosed by its ramparts and listed among the Plus Beaux Villages de France.

Getting there

By car: Rodemack, north of Thionville (A31). By train: Thionville station, then by road.

History

A former stronghold on the doorstep of Luxembourg, Rodemack retains its Porte de Sierck gate, its wall walk, its castle and a medieval garden.
