Les Riceys

The largest wine-growing municipality in the whole of Champagne, Les Riceys is the only village in France to produce three AOCs: Champagne, Coteaux Champenois and the famous Rosé des Riceys.

By car: Les Riceys, on the Côte des Bar, in the south of the Aube.

History

Made up of three villages (Ricey-Bas, Ricey-Haute-Rive, Ricey-Haut), the municipality has an exceptional heritage: Renaissance churches, chapels and wash houses.

Culture & stories

Rosé des Riceys, made from Pinot Noir grown on the best-exposed slopes, is one of the rarest rosés in France. The vineyards are UNESCO-listed.
