Lac de Madine
At the foot of the Côtes de Meuse, Lac de Madine is a vast 1,100-hectare lake given over to leisure: swimming, sailing, cycling and birdwatching.
Getting there
By car: Nonsard-Lamarche / Heudicourt, between Saint-Mihiel and Pont-à-Mousson.
History
A reservoir created in the 1970s, it has become a major nature site in the Lorraine Regional Nature Park, on the road through the Saint-Mihiel salient.
Culture & stories
Lifeguarded beaches, a marina, a 20 km trail around the lake and a bird reserve.
